While there are not a lot of permanent courses in the country, the disc golf communities of Budapest and the country still have a number of sites where they are playing. The below is a far from complete list of places (in Budapest), where the local players go out and play: either on portable baskets or just by doing normal field practice or play catch.
Budapest, Hajógyári-sziget
A huge island located in Budapest, on the river Danube, home to the very first disc golf disc ever thrown in the country. The park gives home to the annual Budapest Disc Golf Open, and
The park is accesible by car (parking only in designated areas), or by public transportation with the H5 train stopping right at the entrance to the island.
Budapest, Népliget
Népliget is one of the two large city parks in Budapest, it has also hosted several smaller tournaments. The park is divided into two halves by the Vajda Péter street, with the southern part being more dense with trees for those who like trick shots, and the northern part offering larger fairways and longer shots. The public park has an acceptable amount of traffic by bikers, people walking their dogs, or just relaxing.
The park is very easily accessible by the M3 metro line (get off at Népliget stop), or by car, whereby the recommended parking place is here.
