This is the information website for Őrség Open 2022 sponsored by Kastaplast (PDGA c-tier event), and it should have all the necessary information you need to know about the event! Registration / Tournament fee / Payment
Please visit this link to register to the tournament. Players who have registered and paid their fees will be moved to the PDGA event page of the tournament (updated every 2-3 days).
The Players' Fee for the event is 9000 HUF (approximately 23 EUR ) and non-playing visitors will need to pay 1500 HUF. This fee it covers course preparation costs, the prizes, the general tournament overheads, and the traditional saturday night gulyás-leves (goulash soup), prepared on an open-air fire. Note that the accomodation is NOT included in the prize.

Place and Time of the Tournament
The course is located just outside of the city of Őriszentpéter, a small town very close to the triple slovenian-austrian-hungarian border.

Note: the weather at this time of the year can be very extreme, temperatures can be above 30-35 degrees celsius. As such, we will have a relatively early start on saturday, then a longer lunch break (people can go back to the camp site, refresh themselves, eat, chill, etc.), and a relatively late start for the second round.
08:15 Player's meeting by the course, by the tent at hole #1. There will be no score card pick-up, we will do digital scoring.
08:45 Start of Round 1, 18 holes in semi-random groups - Shotgun Start
12:00 - 14:30 Lunch break (please go to the Food section for more information)
15:00 Start of Round 2, 18 holes, groups by divisions and total scores - Shotgun Start. There will be no score card pick-up, we will do digital scoring.

morning: if you are staying at the campsite in a house, please make sure to pack all your things!
09:00 Start of Round 3, GOLF START, lower scores start later, 18 holes, groups by divisions and total scores. There will be no score card pick-up, we will do digital scoring.
Prize ceremony at Hole #1 immediately after Round 3.
Divisions
We are offering MPO, FPO, MP40, FP40, MJ18 and MA4 divisions at the tournament. In case the number of players in a given division does not reach at least 4, then the players registering to that division will automatically be moved to the closest matching one.
The Course
If you have already been to Őrség Open, then you know what to expect, the course will be the same as in previous years, maybe some smaller changes will be administered depending on how the farmlands look like.
If you have not yet been to Őrség, then please expect an agricultural/forest landscape, in the heart of a national park, with tight wooded holes, long crushes, and some holes where finesse is required to score well.
We will have a tournament tent at the course to keep us safe from the sun and the rain (if any), and some benches where we can chill between, before and after rounds.
This is a google map link for the course, it is a 4 min car ride from the official accomodation. Please note that it is not allowed to park your car on the agricultural land, so please park them by the side of the street.
And this is the course map from 2020, there is a 95% chance that we will play the same course this year. We will publish the final course map a few days prior to the event.
Accomodation
The official accomodation for the tournament is the Fazekasnő Camping, In Kovácsszer 72, Őriszentpéter. This is a really cozy nice camping with basic wooden houses (only beds, showers outside) and a huge, very well equipped campsite, this will be the tournament center.
You are of course welcome to arrange your accomodation anywhere else, but if you would like to stay in this place, then you need to indicate this at the registration sheet.
Please note that there is a limited supply of wooden houses and rooms in the stone house, and we would like to distribute them on a "modified" first-come-first-served basis (this means couples, ppl travelling with children, etc will have priority). We shall inform you shortly after your registration if your request can be met.
IMPORTANT:
- the accomodation will be payable directly to the camping owners on saturday evening before dinner - one night in the camping shall cost 3500 HUF / night, and the houses are 5500 HUF / night, plus tourist tax (~ 1 EUR / night / person) in all cases.
- you will need to leave your rooms by sunday morning, before the round!
Food
With the exception of the traditional saturday evening gulyás (goulash-soup) and a vegetarian version thereof, the tournament is a self-catering event, please make sure to bring, buy, prepare, etc your own food. The camp site has many places to store your food, there are shops and restaurants in the town.
Scoring
We will use digital scoring on the tournament, so please make sure to keep your mobile phones charged. Just in case, we will also have paper score sheets (weak signal may be an issue).
